… (26 more words)The study targeted undergraduate students at MUST and took on both the qualitative and quantitative approaches to research. The collection of non-numerical data such as student’s experience in learning during the lockdown, the impact of COVID-19 on their psycho-social well-being and help offered, if any, to combat the psycho-social challenges emanating from COVID-19 have inevitably been covered using the qualitative approach. This, as argued by Lapan, Quartaroli, & Riemer (2012), enabled the researcher to probe more where necessary and permissible to do so. The quantitative approach was used to collect primary numerical data of certain demographic such as gender, age, and class; how they were impacted by the pandemic and how it leads to the outcome observed. This cross-sectional study useed this hybrid method to provide a unique perspective on the impacts on certain demographics; the extent of the impact and how best they can be addressed.
